Version 2.10 is out

The only difference between this version and 2.09 is that this one has been converted to a Windows Forms based application, so it is easier now to copy/paste stuff from the console window to the viewer.

Download it here: http://www.4shared.com/file/144368245/6879d4be/MyProxy210.html

(Still no E.T.A. to publicly release the source code, but I can provide it to whoever wants to help the development.)

  1. I've followed the instructions for use, but the proxy fails to register when I log into SL using the default client. Can you help.

  2. Hi Lucy,
Sometimes the login fails due to a packet timeout.
In that case on the proxy console you would see all zeroes returning, is that the case? if so, you just have to insist and login again.
If you don't see a "sending login packet" message on the proxy console when you try to log in, then it means that your viewer is not using the proxy at all, so you want to double check the shortcut you've created for the viewer, and make sure you have the correct loginURI there.
Remember, whatever is in the command line there must be followed by --loginuri http://127.0.0.1:8080/

If it is something else, please describe the situation in more detail. Give me the steps to reproduce. I will try to reproduce the problem here and try to find out what mey be the issue.

    Cheers,
    The Borg.

  3. Lucy instead of
    --loginuri http://127.0.0.1:8080/
Just press Ctrl+shift+G at the login screen than put "localhost:8080" in the box and your good to go !

  6. Hey Neil... the proxy is basically attachments, objects and wearables export/import.
I have also added the particles reverse engineering, and an AO system.
You're welcome to do any improvements you want, I still didn't touch the script stuff.
Just contact me on skype and I will send you the source code.

    Cheers,
    The Borg.

  8. probably during december month, if u want I can work on it a bit, but if I advertize it, I am encrypting the proxy due to its too easy to crack.

  9. Hey Neil.
You can work on it, no problem. I have tried to reach out to you on skype to pass the (commented) source code.
It is 90% written from scratch, but I also borrowed some code from the TestClient, as I didn't want to "reinvent the wheel".
I really don't bother giving out the source to anyone, because my approach with this proxy is different. I want this thing to be REALLY open source, so I don't have a "closed version". Whatever I have, anyone can have.
If you want to create a closed version, no problem, but I suggest then we make a split on the code, as I will be releasing everything I develop fully open. (I suggest you doing the same though, but it's up to you).

    Cheers,
    The Borg.
