MyProxy got a girlfriend

TextureDumper is a small application I've put together this morning based on an idea K-Werk gave me.
It will read the files saved from MyProxy, both .xml and .asset, and dump to disl all the textures referenced there in TGA format.
This way it becomes easier to load those objects into Opensim.

Hope you guys enjoy it,

Sourcecode: https://code.google.com/p/texturedumper/

Remember, it is VERY beta code, so expect (harmless) crashes.

Have fun,
The Borg.

  1. Hello everyone ... I love the support you have been giving to MyProxy and now I hope you do the same for TextureDumper.
One thing that I am going to ask to all of you is to donate to the project.
You can donate WITHOUT sending any money. Just look around, choose an ad that suits your mood and click on it.
If you click on an ad everytime you walk around this blog, google AdSense will make me happy ... and a happy Borg will always make all of you happy too ... :)
    Please donete!

    Cheers,
    The Borg.

  2. Nice! No crashes but do notice it times out quickly if download is slow.
Curious if it would matter which alt account i log the texture dumper in with and whether it will work on sculpt maps.

  3. Hi Kyro,

I believe it should work on sculpt maps too ... well ... I have to check, because I don't remember right now if the sculps maps come under "Image ID".
You can give it a try, just export a sculptie and test.
If it doesn't detect the sculpt map, there should be easy to make it work.

    Cheers,
    The Borg.

  4. Hi The Borg

Excellent work for a beta :-)
Just gave it a quick try... and yes it does work. If you use the latest version of libmov, the export of all kind of textures, including baked and sculpties, should work fine (they got it fixed only very recently in trunk). In some way it would be nice to integrate texturedumper into MyNewProxy. This way i guess you could also export also the temporary baked textures. And yes.. I know it, I owe you hard work and not only some ideas ... lol... but I'm very slow and bad at coding.
Anyway thanks again for the great work, and I would like to support you.. but i see no ads at all here on your site... Tell us if there's some other way to donate!

    Cheers, K-werk
