New version out.

Hello everyone.

Last night I have released version 2.26 (R12) of MyProxy to the CVS page.
This version has the same features as version 2.25, just recompiled against release 3296 of LibOpenMetaverse.
I have noticed some improvement in performance of the proxy, but I would like also to hear from you if this new version brought you more stability.
The code (and executable) can be downloaded from http://code.google.com/p/mynewproxy/

Please share your thoughts.

Cheers,
The Borg.

  2. Hi Borg

i'm still having problem exporting/importing objects. Here is an example:

    the ramp located here: http://slurl.com/secondlife/Raindown/87/172/59/
here is a screenshot of it: http://www.trickster.ws/pics/ramp_002.jpg

when i export the ramp i got this file: http://www.trickster.ws/pics/ramp.xml
now, when i try to import this file i get the following result: http://www.trickster.ws/pics/ramp_001.jpg

I have the same problem with any object in SL. Tried it on 2 different PC's with the same result.

  3. Is this tool completely safe from detection and banning from Linden Labs? I do understand local proxy could be very hard to recognize from normal client's asking for asset but is there a way for Lindens to detect upload actions from MyNewProxy?

  4. Using the version, I tried to copy my own skin to get it full perm, and failed - it created a copy but without the textures.

  5. Hi Trickster.

I will give it a try and see what I can find.
Good thing you have the example, so I can go there myself and run my tests.
I'll let you know as soon as I find out what's wrong.

  6. Hi Apostol,

To upload things I basically use the same methods used by the viewer.
The only difference is that I cannot re-try (re-send) lost packets, so from the LL point of view I am no different from a viewer which is having network problems.
I can't guarantee that MyNewProxy is 100% undetectable, but I would say it is 99%.

As of copying your own skin, make sure you don't have clothing protection enabled yourself. Also, once you log in, allow some time, walk around a little bit, so the packets describing your own skin can be picked by the proxy.
Also, you can use the "describe" command to see what the proxy know about you.

Let me know if you have any problems.

    Cheers,
    The Borg.

  7. Good news / Bad news

    Hi Trickster,

I have good news and bad news:
The bad news is that I have been able to export/import the object using MyProxy (2.26) and Emerald Viewer (1.23.5.1101).
The good news is also that I have been able to export/import the object using MyProxy (2.26) and Emerald Viewer (1.23.5.1101).
Here is the XML file I got:
    http://www.4shared.com/document/E1mIwV6X/ramp.html
    And the image:
    http://www.4shared.com/photo/YAqzoG4_/Ramp.html

If you compare my XML file with yours you will see that they are pratically the same ... but wait ... I am still writing the good news right?
Ok ... here's a VERY good new: if you look closely at the files you will see that they have a slight, almost imperceptible difference: my decimal numbers have dots, and your decimal numbers have commas.
This means that C# is following the local number system set at your operating system.
I bet that if you use my XML you will be able to correctly import the shape.
SO here's the trick: when exporting, make sure you use dot based decimal system, and it should do the trick.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes.

    Cheers,
    The Borg.
