New version is out, 2.30 ... YAY!!!

Hi everyone,

Can't say how much I missed our discussions here.
Here is a new version, 2.30, built against the latest version of LibOpenMetaverse as of Oct/9/2010, and also (hopefully) fixed a bug when downloading big asset files (like animations or sounds).
I am sorry to say that this may be the last release of MyProxy. Everything should be working fine by now (bandwidth permitting), so I don't think there's anything else to be added.
I will still try to fix any bugs you guys may find, but I can't promise any more features.
The development of MyProxy just ceased, as the grid became so boring and useless that I can't even stand staying logged in for more than a couple minutes.
In fact I have even deleted and formatted my local OpenSIM server a few minutes ago.

This has been the best software development experience in my life. Not for the quality of the code, but for the fact that it has been really useful for all of you and for the feedback and support you all gave me.

YOU ARE A F#*$ING AWESOME BAND OF BROTHERS.

New version is out: 2.29

Hello everyone,

Here we go again.
This version still doesn't have any of the announced fixes, it is the same as 2.28, just built against the latest LibOpenMetaverse code, as they demanded some changes once they changed their code tree.
This build may improve stability and performance.
Please make sure you test all the functions (other than downloading assets, which is known to be broken) and let me know if you find anything strange.
I am still stuck with the other project, but I will come back to this one soon, that's why I want to have some feedback from you by then.

Silent but not dead.

Hi everyone,

This message is just to let you all know that I did not disappear from the scene (yet).
I am very busy working on another project, not related to the Metaverse, which is consuming most, if not all, of my free time.
I did not forgot about you all though, I do miss you in fact, and I do miss our long threads of conversation here.
I hope to be back soon, with some documentation for the command line options of MyProxy, the fix for the export of large assets (to which I've found the solution already) and maybe some more "fancy" stuff.
You know, I have a Baby Borg here to feed, and just found out that there's ANOTHER Baby Borg on its way, due January (uh oh). So I have to focus on this side (income generating) project for a while.
But rest assured that The Borg will not give up on MyProxy (maybe I should call it OurProxy) anytime soon.

Hi Everyone,

Yesterday I got scared that someone could have shut down our blog, which would be a surprise for me, as nobody does anything wrong here, right? neither me nor any of you ... :)
So, going forward, looks like it was not a good idea after all to post my email here ... :P ... the email address got used and abused by someone, maybe due to some grudge against MyProxy, I don't know.
Anyways ... we're back, alive and kicking.

Thanks you all for the continuing support ... I would miss the nice conversations we have if this thing got shut down.

Hello everyone.

Just to keep the thing updated. This version is built against release 3344 of LibOpenMV, which is the latest as of today.
Make sure you all get this latest version and move the support requests to this thread from now on (you all should know the drill by now).

New version is out - 2.27

Hello everyone,

This version fixes a bug found on version 2.26 with the help of our friend Trickster.
The bug was: When exporting a file under windows with certain country settings, the decimal numbers would have commas instead of dots. This breaks the exported file.
I have changed the application to always set the current language/culture (of MyProxy only, not the OS) to "en-US", this way the exported files will be correct.
Please give it a try and have fun while doing it.

New version out.

Hello everyone.

Last night I have released version 2.26 (R12) of MyProxy to the CVS page.
This version has the same features as version 2.25, just recompiled against release 3296 of LibOpenMetaverse.
I have noticed some improvement in performance of the proxy, but I would like also to hear from you if this new version brought you more stability.
